movin' on
I've decided to smosh my LJs in one new one. Though my SN fannishness has been rather lacking lately, I will be coming back to it. Just not here. I'm more obsessed right now with Torchwood and Doctor Who, but SN is still my main fandom. --All that is next to Firefly, actually, which is above the list. *G* What? I like lists.

Assuming my net access doesn't go all wacky again--Verizon "fixed" it but they also sorrta "fucked up" so it's sortta "not totally fixed" and I'm sortta "bitter" can't you tell?--I'll be adding this wonderful f-list of mine over to the new LJ. Ya'll are welcome to add or not add me as you like, of course. ::smile:: Love meeee!

So to sum up: I am moving to my brand new LJ, barbarianwinter.

and for the win!
This morning me and the family were, as usual, listening to Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me! (The NPR News Quiz). They were joking about the awful pun-y headlines used to announce the UN's new chairman, Ban Ki-Moon.

The headline that got the laughs was, of course, "Bad Moon Rising."

This meant that on the next ad break they played the song that makes all of us think of squished, bloody Winchesters. I did my very best not to jump up and down with the SQUEE, but I was grinning like a madwoman. My mother, clueless, then asked my dad if he knew who sang it. He was I was pretty darn sure (as well I should be!) but I asked my mom who she thought it was.

I was right, she was wrong. ::G:: See, despite my momentary break from the show, I'm a good little fan.

Speaking of, I will try and watch 'Everybody Loves a Clown' this weekend. I'm so far fairly spoiler-free. Fairly.
--And while I don't totally trust my newspapaer's TV Guide thing, which says 'Everybody Loves a Clown' the only place I've seen "everyone" used in the title is on LJ.
I've never been in another fandom where, like, half the people get the episode titles wrong. I'll be nice and say it's 'cause we have odd ep titles. As long as we can all agree on the one-word titles, the world won't end...

I'm sure it's a very interesting episode and I'll really enjoy it sometime in the future... But I could not less want to watch SN today. I'd get into the why but that would be writing a post.
I may just ignore my f-list and do a skip= 90 skim after I watch (like I did this morning). Or I could get spoiled--'cause, man, some of this fandom can't even use spoiler cuts up to 24 hours after an ep. What's up with that? Isn't nice at all.

And I keep meaning to write posts and mention this, but papawinchester is having a Get John Laid challenge.

That is just awesome.

2x04 promo picspam
I'm such a bad, bad fan. 'In My Time of Dying' just left me with nothing to say...there's lots to say, but I'm pretty much a blank. Oh, well, there are smarter people who say can say it better.
Maybe in a few more eps I'll have some sort of inspiration or just feel like writing anything at all. ::shrug:: I did really love the episode, but my brain doesn't seem to be working right.

And I totally looked at some 2x04 promo pics. Here are some full-size (but I'm using thumbnails, of course) kinda-sorta-spoiling photos.
Supernatural Media has more that are more spoiling (they also have six new 2x01, some 2x05 and a text-less copy of that one show promo of Sam and Dean that showed up a while ago with).

This morning I was really wishing that this premiere was about two weeks or so from now. It's just not a good time for me.

The least reason being I'm totally madly in love with a different show and looking forward to re-watching yet another show far more than I was SN. I have awesome timing, eh? :P

But the biggest reason is that I lost my baby bunny Faye yesterday. To say I loved her is a gross understatement. And she died at two years old--and should never have died at all. She died 'cause someone was stupid and got her and a unknown number of rabbits poisoned through their dinners. She died in a lot of pain...and I'm really not dealing.

So...depressed is one way to put it. I'd really like to enjoy the SN squeeing and fun when I'm not a total mess. But I guess I'm just gonna have to let it be a break from said mess as much as I can.

That does seem to be working. 'Cause this morning I was sitting on my bedroom floor feeding my new roommate bunny (I've had Val since she was born four years ago, but she's just moved into Faye's old cage in my room) and my old one (Rascal, the seven-year-old Crypt Keeper rabbit I also bred myself) and I had the radio on.

Announcer dude starts talking about "The new CW Thursday" and I...perked up. Okay, I sat up like I'd been shocked or something. ::g:: I knew I should turn it off 'cause of the OMGSPOILERZ!!! but I didn't. And after going on forEVER about frickin' Smallville, he said "Last season the Winchesters were [hit by a big fucking truck]" --I don't actually remember what words he used, but they played a relocated clip of Sammy doing his best "DEAN!" roar and the sound of said Big Fucking Truck slamming into Dean's baby. (And of course my hero and my--I wish--love AND my beloved little brother. Fucking truck.)

"But a stranger fate awaits them..." And then Dean said something really strange and he and Sam, like, freaked out (man) or something.

I don't really care that I'll probably only realize how spoiled that made me when I watch the ep--it made me WANT to see it. So today I'm finally gonna watch my DVD of 'Devil's Trap' to make sure it's not fucked up like so many I've heard of. Cutting it close, yeah. And tomorrow I'm gonna do my best to enjoy the new episode along with everyone else who doesn't watch it on TV.

First, Sonofabitch! vid :g: Oh, Dean.
Speaking of sonsofbitches, LJ needs to send me my notifications sometime this fuckin' week!

I cannot wait to see what people come up with from the prompts at spn_halloween.
Finally, a reason to look forward to Halloween. I mean, besides watching kids question my brother's non-Hobbit status (it's the toes) and eating on-sale candy. Not to mention explaining to the local trick-or-treating teenagers that, yes, while I am as old as they are I do consider myself too old for this shit.

I have plans for you, Sammy...
Supernatural Media has three new Sammy pics.

Here's a small copy of my favorite.

PICCollapse )

Speaking of NIGHTMARE, could that ending embody Demon Papa's line about "Hidin' all that nasty pain" any better? Maybe more fear and/or worry in this case, but the point is there. Even the music is all rockin' out till Sammy can't see and then...moody.

Also, I think I love the Demon. He makes things so much fun. And he has pretty eyes, too! ::G::

Doesn't get much better than this. I just love curling up alone on my sofa alone with the rain pouring outside and putting on my Supernatural DVDs.
I love that cold 'n' rainy feel some episodes have; like 'Faith'. I just watched that and 'Scarecrow'. I felt all nice and cozy.

It's so nice to just enjoy the show for a while... Like I love Meg's little eye-roll when the last shady dude in a van. Poor idiot. And then she pokes his dead body. ::G::
And John (or at least his voice) in both... Love.

Best part is, no parents coming home to interrupt. They're off at the beach. I am in no way envious: they're with parts of my mom's family and I'm home with just my dear brother. And my SN and my bunnies. Perfect to me. And they'll be bringing me back a T-shirt and shot glass.

Brother is off to driving class, so I'll be watchin' a couple more soon. Don't know when he'll be back, but we'll be having wings and watching Pretender together...until he runs off to call his best friend and I go back to Supernatural.

Happy, happy day.
